Overview

The Role: Responsible for the planning, co-ordination and reporting of emissions testing for all series models. Ensure that plans, tests and reports for all series models are delivered to the relevant type approval, certification bodies, group standards and client test plans for emissions measurements. The role is also responsible for the management of vehicles to and from the relevant labs, supporting the research of relevant regulations and ensuring they are adhered to and also the escalation of plan adherence and test failures within the department. Liaison between internal departments to procure vehicles in line with the relevant plans. 1. Test Planning The creation of the annual test plan to cover all series models, markets and emission concepts Research of all requirements in detail to ensure the plan meets our obligations and volumes Management of emissions test slot volume with production volumes and facility availability 2. Co-ordination of Testing Management of the vehicles required for testing including future forecasting Ensuring vehicle meets all relevant technical specifications and build specifications for the test parameters Witness where relevant test process to ensure test parameters are correct (Golden Rules) Management of re-test, parameters, time and decision of retest Control vehicle return to processes, including standard of returned vehicle to process and any associated actions 3. Analysis of Test Results Responsible for the analysis of the test data (raw and processed) Ensuring test data integrity and complete traceability to source Analysis of the test results (all pollutants) to decide on pass or fail (Golden Rules) Feedback to test facility for vehicle or process issues Use regulations knowledge to ensure correct results and test conditions 4. Reporting of Emissions Test Plan Responsible for the presentation of the test data (raw and processed) Completion of all vehicle reports and system input Preparation of market specific reports (Hong Kong, etc.) Responsible for the overall test plan completion 5. Research, Escalation and Issue Resolution Responsible for the analysis of type approvals and application to the test plan Escalation of vehicle test problems and failures into current processes Support of investigations and knowledge holder for series emissions process in investigations Escalation of process issues and service provider problems The Company: Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. Essential Skills / Qualifications: Experience with emissions testing Experience of managing test or delivery plans Ability to prioritise workload and test/delivery plans including cross function inputs and feedback Understanding of certification and type approval documents Experience of translating technical knowledge into business/customer deliverables IT skills for data analysis and reporting, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
