SENIOR CONSULTANT - EMISSIONS MODELLING Permanent Based Technopole, Penicuik £37,908 - £44,340 per annum Ref: CML/CS/046/20 SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) is unique in Scotland and one of the largest organisations of its kind in Europe. As more focus is placed on protecting our environment, all sectors will need to consider the impact of their business activities in line with quality standards. To meet this need, we are expanding our team and are looking for a Senior Consultant specialising in environmental modelling, permitting and environmental impact assessment (EIA) activities within the Environment Team, operating from the Technopole Centre, Bush Estate, near Penicuik. You will already be developing a strong reputation in emissions modelling and permitting relating to agriculture and rural development planning. As a senior consultant, you will have sound practical experience and a wide understanding of the environmental issues in relation to emissions modelling and EIA around agriculture, intensive livestock production or a similar field. You will already be working with a high level of autonomy, managing a portfolio of projects and undertaking work with clients whilst maintaining and building an existing network of contacts in the agriculture, regulatory, rural and related industries. Alongside developing your consultancy portfolio and providing leadership, you will also identify and develop new and emerging work streams, supporting the team to evolve and grow to meet the current and future needs of the market. You will have a degree or equivalent in an environmental or environmental technology discipline, agriculture or a related subject and have a strong understanding of environmental issues around agricultural practices. You will already have significant experience in managing consultancy projects as well as dealing with a range of stakeholders.
