Overview

Salary range £25,000 - £27,00 depending on experience/qualifications Full induction and training provided in-house 28 days holiday allowance. Pension scheme with employer contribution. Meals provided on shift Aims and Objectives To provide efficient leadership to a small team, providing high quality residential care according to systems and procedures developed and in use by the company, under the guidance of the Registered Manager. To support the Registered Manager in the running of the home in accordance with company's policies, procedures and care quality standards with the support of the company’s senior management team and therapeutic team. Residents in the Home The home provides care for up to 5 residents. The young people will often be from abusive backgrounds, and may be abusive themselves. Most young people accommodated in the home will also have had a disrupted education and will exhibit emotional and behavioural difficulties and will often be poorly adjusted for their age or the requirement placed upon them. Shifts are made up of long days and some lates and will include some ins. Typical Issues faced by Job Holder Dealing with challenging behaviour (verbally abusive, possibly threatening behaviour) Requirement for positive role modelling at all times and maintaining a consistency of approach Dealing with constantly changing guidelines, procedures etc, that are being presented by our Governing Body Develop a functional approach in young people who are likely to have been rejected or have serious issues in coming to terms with their behaviour. Requirements. At least one years experience in a senior/deputy role with young people. The ability to promote appropriate relationships with the young people. Good communication skills with young people, colleagues, family members and other professionals.
