Overview

We are seeking a caring and experienced individual to become a Deputy Manager of our lovely, homelynservice at Twyford Gardens in Worthing BN13 2NT. Twyford Gardens is a specialist residential service for adults aged 18 with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Twyford Gardens is a large property with four en-suite bedrooms. There is a communal living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and a large garden for when people want to socialise with others. The service also has a large people carrier car so it is possible for everyone to go on any day trips. Twyford Gardens is located in Durrington, near Worthing within easy reach of the town centre and the seafront. There is access to a wide range of local community facilities including shops, pubs, restaurants, libraries and colleges. The nearby mainline stations and local bus services provide good links to London and the surrounding coastal areas. People we support take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives and build on skills, as well as accessing the local community. Vacancy Details Your duties as a Deputy Manager will include supporting the Home Manager, and deputising their absence, to undertake all aspects of managing the home, ensuring that high standards of care and support are maintained and adhering to all requirements and regulations. You will also assist in the developing of rotas and managing the staff team. An appropriate balance is needed between management and 'hands-on' work, meeting the needs of the service users living in the home. The Ideal Candidate The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice. Our main priority, therefore, is to find staff with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own. You will have considerable experience working with people with learning disabilities in a service, at a minimum of lead/senior support worker level.
