J OB DETAILS Job title: General Duties and Transport - Fire & Rescue Fleet Salary: £18,065 to £18,426 per annum Contract type: Permanent Working hours: 37 Location: Chichester Application closing date: 19th April 2020 Interview date: 27th April 2020 Job details: You will be involved in the Workshops general duties which include steam cleaning vehicles, vehicle delivery and collection (including LGVs), and cleaning to central and satellite workshops. Assisting the other members of the Engineering support section is also a key part in this role. As a post holder, you will be assisting the management team in the delivery of targeted and quality Engineering support to the West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. The key roles include; steam cleaning of vehicles, collecting and delivery spare parts, and maintaining the cleanliness of all operational bases. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Be able to follow basic procedures and clear instructions so little supervision is needed beyond that provided by working arrangements; a self-starting attitude is essential. Experience in a customer orientated environment. Has an understanding that this role requires regular manual handling of heavy items.
