Multi-trade role, HMP Swansea, full time Mon-Fri, opportunity to go permanent Your new company HMP Swansea is a category B prison for adult males. Our exclusive relationship with HM Prison Service makes us the sole provider of security and support operatives within the prisons. Hays is seeking to recruit a multi-trade worker to join the strong team of works and maintenance at HMP Swansea. As part of the works department, you will be responsible for both reactive repairs and planned and preventative maintenance. Your new role As part of the Works Department you will be responsible for both reactive repairs and planned and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance role is in a unique working environment with a strong sense of team working. Always in demand, you could benefit from long-term contracts and there is also potential, once trained, to work in other prisons both locally and nationally. You must be local to the prison or have your own transport. As a multi-trades worker, you will be responsible for repairs across all aspects. Duties may include fire door audits, window panels, plumbing related work, cell repairs, as well as general maintenance throughout the prison site. What you'll need to succeed Experience with several types of maintenance positions is ideal to be successful for this role.
