Overview
This is a broad and challenging Supply chain role in an innovative scale-up business with global ambitions. Our client have developed world leading environmental technology which has passed proof-of-concept trials with leading brands, and are now embarking on the next stage of their journey. Reporting to the CEO, your work to reduce BoM costs and optimise supply chain will enable their transition from proving the technology to delivering commercial contracts. You'll likely have experienced a similar transition so will know that this requires a blend of partnership working with existing suppliers and establishment of new relationships. Initially you'll use your sector knowledge to identify alternative suppliers to reduce cost as you replace bespoke components with similar 'off the shelf' components - and will work with engineering colleagues to discuss and agree the design changes to accomodate these components. In time, you'll also work with some of the worlds largest consumable suppliers to negotiate strategic relationships combining low cost with flexibility and broad geographic coverage. If you're a qualified supply chain professional (APICS, CSCP or CIPS L4 or 5) with experience in automotive, manufacturing, or refrigeration sectors, and with a track record of similar cost engineering during a new-product-introduction process, please apply to learn more.
