Overview

The Business A renowned financial services business based in Greater Manchester is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the business on a permanent basis. The organisation that we're representing are currently going through a significant period of organisational change and are looking to develop their analytics division. With its head office based out of Greater Manchester the organisation and particularly the analytics division is seeing rapid growth from both a headcount and workload perspective. With a reporting line directly into a newly appointed Senior Manager and with a number of large, high profile programmes at the early stages this is an exciting time to join the business for an ambitious, highly skilled candidate that is keen to develop their career. The Role The permanent Data Analyst will be responsible for handling large volumes of data and providing key support for the management team across the analytics division. Key responsibilities include: Deliver key commercial information to the executive team around the cash management function of the fund. Liaise with a range of stakeholders and deliver key data and recommendations Business partner with a range of divisions to deliver commercial analytics and data Deliver financial information that feeds into the preparation of the groups statutory accounts Develop improvements across a range of systems, controls and internal processes Deliver key MI to the executive team to enable them to make commercial decisions Identify areas of potential risk, data anomalies and liaise with internal stakeholders to make them aware of potential consequences Deliver financial models and extensive data analysis to deliver key commercial recommendations The Candidate This opportunity offers the successful candidate unrivalled levels of exposure and potentially a swift progression path into a management role. In order to be successful candidates will require advanced analytical skills ideally within a financial services or highly regulated background. The individual will have advanced Excel skills and will have proven experience of working with large volumes of complex data, delivering models and commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills are key as they will be expected to work across multiple divisions such as finance, commercial and analytics to deliver key information to senior internal and external stakeholders.
