Overview

As a Production Supervisor with extensive Pharma or Food Manufacturing experience you will provide support to the production team on site. This challenging role requires an experienced Production Supervisor with GMP experience. This is your opportunity to develop your career with an established, growing pharmaceutical manufacturer. As part of management team , you are responsible for a team of Production Operators who will be operating Pharmaceutical equipment, adhering to GMP principles and processes, to produce either Sterile Ampoules, Sterile Pre-Filled Syringes or Oral Liquids. Main Responsibilities & Duties Planning, monitoring and communicating job expectations and appraising job results to their team members. Challenging their team and their internal customers to ensure that performance is driven in the following areas; H&S, Quality, Output, Cost, People Coaching and developing their team members, identifying growth opportunities and working towards a succession plan Being a visible force within the factory. Checking processes online and contemporaneously so that we maintain a high level of Right First Time Maintain workflow by setting process variables, monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment and control points; monitoring resources and personnel; developing reporting systems and procedures, studying methods; facilitating corrections to malfunctions, implementing cost reductions; initiating and developing a spirit of cooperation between and within departments Working with their Shift Leader to identify areas for improvement in Quality compliance, feeding into the Production Quality Improvement plan Collaborate with the wider Supervisor peer team to achieve the overall Production targets and not just their own. Report any H&S issues, escalating to higher management where required, ensuring they are treated seriously and investigated Work closely with the Planning and Warehouse team, reporting status at the daily meetings of their areas so that effective crisis management can take place where required Own the Quality incidents within their area/shift. Driving through remedial actions and securing the safety and efficacy of our products whilst performing root cause analysis to ensure they do not reoccur through effective CAPA’s Holds self and others accountable for performance against defined standards Identify performance issues before they are detrimental to the Production unit and put in place plans to mitigate. If this is not possible, then they must work their Shift Leader and HR to identify alternative options Actively support the self-inspection process, driving continuous improvement within their area and the wider areas to constantly improve the status quo They must champion a challenge and continuous mindset, be an active member of a problem-solving culture Collaborate and support engineering and quality by proposing resolutions to problems identified Additional Responsibilities Ability to set targets, monitor and report on efficiencies and productivity Provide updates on team performance Efficiently respond to questions from staff and colleagues Communicate effectively in both written and oral form Effectively present information to staff Responsible for ensuring staff and self are trained and aware of the importance of data integrity and potential risk to product quality and patient safety.
