Overview
Software Solutions Training Manager Basingstoke, Hampshire or Gateshead Tyne & Wear Are you an experienced Software Trainer? Can you provide expert technical training around the deployment and ongoing support for new and existing complex bespoke software solutions. We are currently recruiting for a Training Lead who will work with both remote and centralised support teams and be pivotal in the scoping, creation and timely delivery of technical training, integration and support to large external customers and varied stakeholders. What you will be doing: Develop and own the Training Strategy, creation of materials and delivery methods to include input and coordination of project plans for each project phase. Liaising with 3rd party suppliers, shippers, importers, customers in the scope, configuration, integration and on-boarding process to ensure smooth project delivery and issue resolution. Lead and manage the training administration, coordination, operations and quality assurance of training services and materials. Gain a thorough understanding of the operational environment in order to conduct Training Needs Analysis with relevant stakeholders. Assess cost/benefit of a variety of training delivery methodologies and recommend cost effective and appropriate methods. You’ll escalate issues accordingly to ensure all impacted parties are kept informed. Contributing to problem resolution through identification of recurring issues and liaising with local and central support teams where necessary. You will be required to travel to customer sites in support of deployment, integration and support of the solution as required,[JK(1] . This role has one direct report initially, but will work closely with colleagues as part of a wider UK and international based team. What we are looking for: Good interpersonal skills and ability to travel in the UK and Overseas (predominantly Europe) Previous experience as a Training Manager/Training Lead and comfortable dealing with different cultures Significant experience of creating and conducting technical systems training Able to conduct detailed Training Needs Analysis for variety of users and adapt training strategy and materials accordingly Able to lead groups of multiple attendees with excellent facilitation skills Team player with ability to share information across international team members Good general understanding of IT disciplines (Platform & Network) Knowledge and experience in working with Web Applications. Experience with software development training or Agile software development processes Direct line management experience including responsibility for performance management, development, conduct or attendance issues and succession planning [JK(1]I think this is unnecessary and just raises questions in people’s minds immediately, that they’ll raise at interview.
