Requirements We have an exciting opportunity for a talented embedded software engineer looking to progress their career. * Educated to degree level * At least 5 years' experience in embedded software development * Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in 'C' * Good working knowledge of another programming language unrelated to 'C' * Linux experience (Linux driver and application development) * Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers - we generally use ARM Cortex-M series processors * Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and errata notices as they relate to software development * Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software * Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools * Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of senior engineers Responsibilities * Responsible for full developments (Our developments vary from a few weeks to a few months) * Adhering to written specifications * Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain * Testing to verify code is performing to specification. * Documentation as required by the specification * Second line support on your developments * Working as part of a team on larger projects Rewards * Marketing leading salary in this industry * Pension scheme * Personal private health cover * Quarterly bonus - based on company performance * Developments are varied and interesting - covering a wide range of market sectors.
