Overview
A logistics company based in Ottershaw, Surrey is looking for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team. Working with the Finance Director, you will assume responsibility for all prime entry of the financial data into the Accounts system, providing analysis reports to senior management. You will also have an opportunity to input into management accounts and financial reporting cycles. This is a Trainee role and whilst you should have some experience of working in finance previously or an academic qualification and a desire for a career in finance, full training will be given. A study package will also be made available as well as the salary. Duties will include:- Accounts payable; coding, batching, processing of invoices and bank reconciliation. Accounts receivable; raising client invoices, receipting of cash and reconciling revenues. Month end; reconciling journals and assisting with the preparation of VAT returns, assisting in the preparation of cash flows. Use of computerised systems and excel. Ad hoc finance responsibilities in line with your professional development tba.
