Overview
The Company International services business is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure professional with strong networking skills. The Role In this broad role you will provide, maintain, develop & deliver effective IT, notably networking, systems, including support, analysis diagnostics, incident resolution and skill transfer. Managing mainly networking projects, you will utilise relevant techniques incorporating Risk Assessment, Planning, Issue Tracking, Training and Contingency Planning to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to user satisfaction. In addition you will: Utilise network monitoring tools for prevention & troubleshooting; assists team members with problem resolution related to application use; leads and/or assists team members and customers with problem solving related to networked systems & telecoms infrastructure. Interact in a cross team capacity with skills & knowledge sharing to ensure familiarity of all infrastructure, business systems, security & processes, providing general IT support to the business Deliver appropriate levels of network security, segregation, data protection, PCI compliance including maintenance of firmware, patching, software updates, management of change control, effective communication and guidance. Manage calls, tasks & incidents using the IT Service Desk ensuring all response calls and fixes are within agreed Service Levels and to budget. Understand & support the business strategy and its main objectives, including delivery of the relevant components of the IT Strategy Maintain effective relationships with all departments & business partners, incorporating delivery of exceptional customer service and communication to all parties. Provide regular feedback and communication on progress of projects, tasks & incidents to the IT Team Leader, IT Manager and business stakeholders as required. Engage to minimise IT and overall business costs and identify potential cost savings. Maximise revenue from IT services including effective & timely invoicing processes. Maintain knowledge and awareness of existing, new and emerging technologies & trends; assimilates new technology into the work environment; advances technical and business proficiency through a formal education process and work assignments to provide best in class IT solutions & service delivery Ensure that self, colleagues and Business Partners comply with Health & Safety regulations including relevant procedures. Actively partake in the 24 x 7, 365 on-call system, providing support for critical IT systems & incidents as required. The Requirements With a broad range of infrastructure skills you will have a particular strength in networking, notably: Switches - install, support, config troubleshooting Firewalls - support, config, troubleshooting Wi-fi - good knowledge of install of AP's, config, support etc IP - good knowledge of VLAN's, subnets, DHCP, network routing, general troubleshooting With strong customer service / support skills essential. you will possess knowledge of VOIP / IP and mobile telephony and be cyber security aware. In addition any skills with virtualisation, servers, client machine knowledge (win7 / 10), install, troubleshooting, general configurations would be beneficial.
