Apply Now Senior / Chartered Structural Engineer – Leading Infrastructure Specialist Contractor – South London My client is an established, privately owned Infrastructure specialist with a turnover in excess of £500m. They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis a Senior / Chartered Structural Engineer to join their dedicated Structures Team near Bermondsey in South East London. It is also worth noting that the company has a dedicated Structures Team in Victoria, London so applicants will also have the option to work in this location. My client is seeking someone ideally with 8 years of Post-Graduate experience. The Senior Structural Engineer Role: As a Senior Structural Engineer you will demonstrate excellent engineering skills in association with resolving structural inspection/survey and design issues where applicable, and or providing innovative solutions to highway improvement schemes in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. Responsibilities: Acting as Senior Structural Engineer for the Structures Team. Working on the contractual maintenance regimes involving Local Authorities such as Westminster, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and Transport for London(TFL). Principal Inspection and General Inspection on Highways Structures such as Multi-spans road bridges, road underpasses, bridges over rails, footbridges over River Thames, Waterloo Bridge, monuments and River Thames embankment walls Urgent Structure Advice to local authorities Meeting with clients to discuss programmes, finances and issues Working with Operations Managers on profit and loss reporting, cost reporting and forecasts. Reporting on Key Performance Index targets for maintenance scheme works. Acting in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices. Requirements: My client issearching for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer who ideally holds the following qualifications: BEng Civil Engineering Degree, CEng Member of ICE or IStructE, MICE or MIStructE member or at least working towards. A CSCS card is required for this position. Previous experience of working in structural maintenance regimes and public sectors would be an advantage as would structural design experience involving structural reinforced concrete and steel structures and foundations. Competence with Auto CAD and experience with Bridge Station inspection data input would also desirable.
