Meraki Talent's global financial service client based in London are currently looking to recruit a permanent Senior Network Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The Network Systems Engineers accountable for providing top tier network application and desk side support for local users in London and remote users worldwide. Working closely with their Network Systems Engineer, London and reporting to our Director, Technology Operations & Infrastructure, New York the role-holder plays a crucial point of contact for workplace networking issues and works hard to plan, develop, deploy, test and optimise networks and system services. Hands-on experience in the following areas: Configuring and troubleshooting enterprise systems including Virtualisation, Firewalls, VPN, Routers, Switches, Servers, Storage Systems, RAID, Backups, UPS, IP Phones Experience with HP/Aruba Switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Sophos Wireless, Polycom VOIP phones are preferred but not required Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows server operating systems in a global Active Directory domain including Windows 7-10 and Server 2008-2016 Maintaining global windows domain (AD) and exchange environment Maintaining and optimising windows Hyper-V environment Installing, configuring and troubleshooting server applications including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, Terminal servers, Mobile Device Management, WSUS/Patch Manager, Exchange Server Working knowledge of thin client / terminal servers or VDI Installing, configuring and troubleshooting office productivity applications such as the MS Office and Adobe suites Endpoint protection (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection) PowerShell scripting Skills and Competency Requirements: Self-starter with strong delivery focus; proven track record in delivering complex multi-faceted global projects Experience of working globally essential Must have exceptional time management skills Team player who can work under minimal supervision Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills - Good documentation skills required, including network documentation Qualifications: Degree in computer related studies or equivalent work experience CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, LPIC, certifications are desirable 5 years relevant experience working in a corporate IT environment If you feel you have the right skills and experience to undertake this excellent role I would be keen to hear from you as soon as possible.
