Overview

Ace Appointments Midlands Ltd. are recruiting, on behalf of a client, for a Finance Systems Technician. This role is based in Leicester city centre and will require the successful candidate to work 37 hours per week. This is a temporary post. The overall job responsibility will include, contributing to the efficient and effective financial management of our client including the support and development of the financial systems and processes. Job Duties include: Completes administration tasks for the finance systems including but not limited to; upgrades, setting up users, maintenance of system documentation, maintenance of system processes and procedures,report production and performance monitoring where required. Undertakes project work and acts as the lead where appropriate. This includes identifying potential system & process solutions to achieve revised business requirements and ensuring solutions are tested prior to implementation. Provides financial assistance and support to the Accountancy & Exchequer Teams. Undertakes research and analysis and proposes improvements to improve the achievements of objectives and targets. Reviews, develops and implements financial systems and procedures. Identifies training requirements and then develops co-ordinates and delivers formal and informal training and user documentation. Completes specific tasks and specialist support as allocated by the Head of Finance The ideal candidate will have the below skills and abilities: Proficient written and spoken communication skills sufficient to write clear, concise reports and explain complex information. Excellent numeracy skills and able to interpret complex financial information. Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with colleagues across different disciplines and levels. Excellent organisation & planning skills. Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and in the use of large electronic accounting and other systems. Ability to develop and deliver training materials and sessions. Ability to understand complex financial information and explain it to users. Ability to engage, influence, motivate and negotiate with others. Ability to demonstrate creative thinking in the resolution of problems.
