Technical Support Assistantm - Swinderby, Lincoln Due to our on-going success and our plans for growth, we are recruiting for a new role: A Technical Support Assistant to join our thriving team based in Swinderby, Lincolnshire. This role is typically working Monday – Friday, 09.00 – 17.00. About The Job: Reporting to the IT Manager, the Technical Support Assistant will provide IT support to Kisimul staff, visitors and residents. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing IT hardware and equipment. You will also monitor and audit IT systems and accounts. Key Responsibilities: Provide telephone and desktop support to internal users; investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test, implement and document solutions. Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. Install, configure, and maintain personal computers and workstations, network cabling, smartphones, tablets and other related equipment, devices, and systems. Provide hardware additions, upgrades and reconfigurations as necessary. Maintain site licenses for department/organization. Provide and keep up to date the IT users Policy and Procedure and Code of Conduct administration; including Loan of equipment agreements Provide administrative and technical support for printing and reprographics. Provide general administration and technical support for company telephone and mobile telephone systems, handsets and contracts. Provide technical support for appropriate department Audio/Video equipment. Essential Experience Skills & Qualifications Strong all round IT skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Strong organisational skills. Experience using Windows 7 (Windows 10 beneficial) and Office suite. Basic knowledge of AD/DNS/DHCP. Basic knowledge of networking, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, switches and firewalls. Basic knowledge of IT hardware; PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets and printers. Remuneration Package The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will consist of a basic salary of up to £20,000 as well other company benefits such as; Pension, Life Assurance.
