Overview

Senior Business Analyst Up to £60,000 per annum South London I am currently working with a top 15 insurance firm looking to break into the top 5 through a massive Digital Transformation programme. They see the transformation of their digital infrastructure as being central into breaking into the top 5 insurance companies around The UK and as such this has a high priority status internally. As part of this transformation they will be looking to hire a Business Analyst who will take the lead on Projects & Change and the implementation of solutions, in line with both departmental and corporate's full project management life cycle. To take on this position, they are looking to hire a hardworking, self-starter who is comfortable working in an autonomous environment. Scope of role: Gathering user requirements and translating into detailed specifications Stakeholder management to ensure technical sustainability and that it meets the business needs Analysis of existing complex business processes and lead the development / implementation of business process change Document management and sign off (from client) of specification Be the bridge between customers, development and third-party's for software functionality through SDLC Fault analysis (Post-live support) Creation and presentation of training for user guide documentation Mentorship of Junior Business Analyst's Responsible for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility. Facilitation of open debates on risk management to drive a new risk management culture within Programmes & Change Must have: Experience working on/with: o Interfaces: Broker Platform Systems & Insurer Platform Systems o External: CDL Software providers Ability to work autonomously Proficient in writing effective business requirements. End to end experience of the project lifecycle Proven experience interacting directly with end users. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrable evidence of analysing / documenting complex business processes and specification writing for 'information systems' Core Microsoft Office products. Structured project management frameworks e.g. PRINCE2 / Agile. Nice to have: Experience working on Guidewire implementations (or knowledge of Guidewire system) Membership of relevant professional body Knowledge of the IS2000 insurance software package. Knowledge of the CDL broker software package. Internet and intranet technologies. Private Sector organisation experience.
