TECH LEAD - DATA ENGINEERING - REMOTE WORKING 3 MONTHS LOCATION: FLEXIBLE/ REMOTE/ HOME WORKING £700- £800 PER DAY CENTRAL LONDON If you are looking for an opportunity to lead an engineering team using Python in an AWS environment - this is the role for you THE COMPANY: As a Data Engineering Tech Lead you will be working for a leading marketing company who is well recognised for its data-driven roots and use of cutting-edge big data technologies. You will be situated in the core team of Data Engineers who mainly work in a Python and Spark focused environment. As a Data Engineering Tech Lead you will be involved in helping maintain their primary data platform. This is a chance to lead a team of highly skilled engineers in an agile and fast paced environment. THE ROLE: As a Data Engineering Tech Lead you must have strong knowledge of Python as this will be the main programming language that will drive the projects you will be working on. Having knowledge of Big Data Technologies such as Spark will also be very valuable in this role. They are looking for a Data Engineering Tech Lead who has worked extensively in an AWS environment therefore it is imperative you have had extensive exposure to this cloud platform and know its main components such as S3, Lambda, EC2 as well as technologies such as Kubernetes. As a Data Engineering Tech Lead you must have previously led and guided teams as this will be an integral part of the role. Though this role will involve being hands on in Python when creating POCs it will also have a strong architectural focus. Therefore you must have previous experience helping to designing and orchestrate solutions on an AWS Data platform. In specific you can expect to be involved in the following: Using Python for coding/ designing Creating high level solutions in AWS Leading a team and guiding them in best practices YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Previously mentored teams Implemented best practices like TDD and pair programming Good experience/ knowledge of Python Extensive experience working in AWS THE BENEFITS: This role offers a very competitive rate of up to £800 per day.
