Overview
Senior Planner (EIA) London Recognised leader in the Planning & Development sector £Negotiable dependant on experience excellent benefits package Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a recognised leading consultancy in the planning & development sector on the hire a Senior Planner to join their expanding and busy Infrastructure Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team in London. The Infrastructure Planning and EIA team supports development projects and land promotion for both external clients and in-house planning teams covering a wide range of sectors (including housing, education, retail, leisure, sport and infrastructure). You will work alongside colleagues with specialist skills in the provision of large scale planning projects, typically with EIA requirements. The focus of the role is supporting the planning team in general, with particular involvement with the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments. Alongside a general town planning advice role, the position involves: Preparation and Production of EIAs; Provision of specialist EIA advice to external and internal contacts; Assisting the Planning Team on large projects (including DCOs) , providing town planning advice/support; Project management responsibilities on complex EIA projects (including the management of third party consultants). Job requirements Candidates should be a chartered membership of the RTPI and hold an RTPI accredited town planning qualification at Masters level, a RICS accredited qualification (planning & development route) and/or IEMA (or similar) accredited. Candidates are most likely to have a background in Planning and EIA, however candidates with different degrees but relevant experience may be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a very high level of technical competency, and quality of work, carried out with minimal supervision, together with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales, and ability to problem solve is critical.
