Financial Accountant, Chiswick, London £65,000 9% bonus other benefits The role Our client - a well-known, exciting brand operating on a truly international scale - is looking for an experienced and technically strong accountant to join their Financial Control team based in West London. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will take on responsibility for all of the Group's statutory accounting activities and must ensure highly accurate preparation of financial statements. The role would be ideal for a Qualified accountant with 3-4 years of PQE who is looking to join a growing business and work in a fun environment. Key responsibilities Preparation and submission of all Group statutory accounts - including both consolidated accounts and subsidiary accounts Development and implementation of the year end plan, including communication of the plan to overseas territories to ensure all deadlines are met Assistance and support with any year end queries which may arise Ownership of the year end audit process Development of the balance sheet reconciliations Remain up-to-date with all technical accounting standards to ensure that these are met at all times Preparation of technical accounting papers, with the ability to draw concise and accurate observations/conclusions Preparation of the Group's reports (quarterly and annual) for presentation to investors/stakeholders Offer support to the Finance team as required, with particular attention to financial reporting Identify and suggest process improvement measures as required Involvement in, and assistance with, any other projects undertaken by the wider Finance team as per the needs of the business The ideal candidate Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 3-4 years PQE In depth experience of producing and reviewing highly accurate financial statements Exposure to technical accounting reports and ability to fully understand all content Strong knowledge of IFRS Demonstrable experience of working in an international environment, with multiple currencies Highly numerate and analytical individual Ability to work accurately and to manage tight timelines in a fluid environment Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with senior level colleagues Approaches problems in a positive manner, seeking the best solution Previous audit experience in practice (desired)
