You MUST have the following: Advanced experience with React (ReactJS, React-JS, React.JS) Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced JavaScript D3/charting libraries and time series Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with business users and stakeholders Agile The following is DESIRABLE, not essential: VX Lambda, EC2, RDS PostgreSQL Role: JavaScript Developer (React JavaScript Developer Software Engineer Front End AWS Amazon Web Services Programmer Agile Digital Front Office Trading Finance Investment Technology Asset Management Hedge Fund D3 VX Lambda EC2 RDS PostgreSQL Contract Contractor Consultant) required by our asset management client in London. You will join five, mainly front-end developers, spread over London and the US. Two are based in the UK. You will be working with a React, Material UI, D3, VX and AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS) technical stack to deliver risk visualization applications. Using large quantities of data that have been streamed onto AWS, the team has created web based applications that provide times series analysis of risk information, allowing for the ability to zoom into dates and periods. They are now looking to further build out functionality allowing for the creation of risk scenarios and stress testing. For instance, if the EUR moves 5% against the USD, what effect would this have on the value of fixed income funds? Strong React, JavaScript and AWS experience is required for this position. Experience in D3, VX, lambda, EC2, RDS, PostgreSQL and work with charting libraries is all highly desirable but not essential. Finance is also only desirable, not essential. You will be joining a company where hours are 9-5 and there is a very heavy investment in technology. This contract will last until the end of the year and almost definitely be extended.
