GROUP ACCOUNTANT - COVENTRY This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACMA / ACCA) to join this innovative and international market leader The newly created role of Group Accountant for this multi-entity and rapidly growing business (turnover £50m) within the manufacturing / engineering sector is a key appointment as a future successor to the Group Financial Controller. What will you be doing? Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and leading a small team you will be accountable for the timely and accurate financial reporting of all group entities including consolidated monthly management accounts, balance sheet, statutory accounts, variance analysis, cashflow management and the production of the board reporting pack. A key part of this role will be to identify and implement process improvements (from a control and efficiency perspective) with the aim of delivering faster better data and reports. You will also work closely with stakeholders across the business to educate and add value through improved understanding and interpretation of financial reports to aid decision making and pro-active action to improve performance. As group accountant you will also be responsible for keeping up to date with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 15) and ensuring compliance across the group. What are we looking for? We seek a qualified accountant (any major accounting body) with excellent technical and reporting skills aligned to current accounting standards. You will be a pro-active and 'can do’ character who thrives in an environment that is fast paced, evolving and where there is a genuine opportunity to make an impact Your ability to produce timely and insightful accounts that are 'right first time’ is essential as is the ability to communicate results to a broad range of managers across the business. Prior experience of working within a manufacturing / engineering business and project accounting will be highly advantageous. Strong 'IT’ skills with Microsoft office and an ERP system are also important. As this is a multi0entity role requiring some local travel between sites candidates must possess a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. What’s in it for you?
