Associate Group Manager - Medicine Group A (Diabetes & Endocrinology, Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology) An exciting opportunity has emerged for a motivated and ambitious manager to join the Medicine management team as an Associate Group Manager. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of specialty teams, and accountable for all administrative and business functions within the Department. The post holder will work closely with the Group Manager, Modern Matrons and Clinical Leads across services to ensure the departments' staffing and financial resources are maximised. The post holder will work closely with the Group Manager and wider Group Management Team to ensure the operational performance of the specialty including performance against trust key performance indicators (KPIs) including RTT times, developing plans to overcome operational and performance related challenges. The post holder will work with clinicians and Operational & Performance Managers to continually improve services, and support the delivery of the Group's plans. The post holder will be a highly visible and credible manager who is action orientated, effective and have strong leadership qualities in the development and provision of a comprehensive, high quality, patient centered care service by ensuring the efficient utilisation of available resource. The role will require working across the two sites, UH in Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby. They will have excellent interpersonal skills allowing them to work closely with clerical staff, senior management and clinical staff alike. They must be able to raise the profile of the group across the organisation and critically, they must be passionate about delivering a world class service to patients. The post holder must also have operational exprience of working in Emergency Care settings to support Group wide objectives.
