Remote / video interview process, ready for somebody to start ASAP Multiple roles, read on if you have strong expertise in any of; Big Data, Front End Development, Knowledge Engineering (Semantic Web, Linked Data) KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Seasoned Software Engineer, with cloud experience, able to take on a 'senior' role and influence design & architectural direction. With multiple roles available, we want people who can specialise in any of the following: Big Data; building data architectures, knowledge of various data stores, exposure to tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc. Front End Development; in a data heavy environment, utilising JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular. 'Knowledge Engineering'; expertise in Linked Data and Semantic Web concepts. ROLE SUMMARY A unique Tech & Data Analytics company, set up to tackle problems such as world hunger, has been in continual growth mode for 2-3 years off the back of significant funding. A Senior Software Engineer is now required to play a key role in a small yet talented Software Engineering team, focused on developing cutting edge cloud based solutions and platforms. Whilst still being a capable hands-on full-stack Software Engineer, you will also need to be comfortable operating at a senior level that incorporates playing technical lead and being a key influence in creative decisions and architecture. Experience working in a cloud based environment is required, in addition to a language agnostic mindset which ensures you are able to turn your hand to different languages and tools. In particular, experience in Python and full-stack JavaScript would be valued - but is not essential. There are multiple roles here with different specialisms - in particular, we need people with the level of experience and expertise to be seen as go-to specialists in Big Data, Front End development or Knowledge Engineering.
