Overview
Remote / video interview process, ready for somebody to start ASAP Senior Data Scientist - devise solutions to help tackle world hunger KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Expertise in Data Science and developing predictive models in a scientific / complex domain (e.g. life sciences, physics, agrifood) - circa 5 years' experience. Ability to occupy a 'Senior' role, being seen as the primary Data Science expert in a small team. Machine Learning Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI (or other similar tools). Programming experience in Python ROLE SUMMARY: A pioneering organisation in the 'AgriTech' domain is seeking a Data Scientist as they look to develop tools and platforms for the benefit of the AgriFood sector, and ultimately the human race as a whole The agriculture sector is currently undergoing a revolution as it embraces emerging tech & scientific methods - and better utilisation of data is central to this. Your role will be varied, from working with internal data sets in order to derive and showcase new findings to the Agri industry, to engaging with clients / partners on novel and unique data and modelling projects. Ultimately you will be playing your part in an organisation that is looking to act as a catalyst when it comes to inspiring greater use of Big Data and Data Science in the AgriFood space - with the end goal of tackling problems such as world hunger and a lack of environmental sustainability in the sector. This role is for an experienced Data Science & Machine Learning practicioner, therefore you will need circa 5 years' experience. You will need to demonstrate data science and modelling expertise from working with datasets in a scientific / complex domain such as life sciences, physics or AgriFood. Agri sector experience is not a necessity, but we are interested in talking to people who are motivated by seeing their work make a real social impact - in a sector, such as AgriFood, that is crucial to the future of the human race
