Band 7 Clinical Psychologist Job Reference: 820-2029129-CF-B Employer: Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Department: clinical psychology Location: 5 CDC sites in Birmingham, Birmingham Salary: £37,570 to £43,772 per annum We are keen to receive applications from Practitioner Psychologists with clinical experience of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD in children aged between 3 and 16 years. This experience could include developing the use of specific assessments and diagnostic tools such as the ADOS -2 coupled with specialist observational skills, skills in clinical diagnosis and clinical formulation skills. We will be looking to offer specific training such as ADOS – 2 to successful candidates if needed. The successful candidates will have experience of working with children and in multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate highly developed communication skills and the ability to work with challenging situations / discussions. There will be a package of supervision and support to develop emerging clinical skills as well as the opportunity to be embedded within a developing multidisciplinary team. As the Neurodevelopmental pathway is developing, there will be opportunity to support the trialling and development of clinical intervention, as well as assessment. This will include; multidisciplinary health interventions e.g. post diagnosis parent groups, intervention groups for young people post diagnosis multiagency interventions, working with specialist teachers and educational psychologists, as well as partner health colleagues across health & care system, e.g. ASD / ADHD awareness days, pre-assessment support groups specialist clinical interventions delivered by clinical psychologists, in particular to develop a clear pathway for short term interventions for families where attachment difficulties are suspected.
