Your new company A progressive public sector organisation based in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Procurement professional who has operated in the public sector and has experience of OJEU tendering. Your new role As Procurement Officer in this public sector organisation, you will be responsible for the sourcing of goods and services per the organisation's requirements, ensuring this is done in a compliant manner, adhering to OJEU processes and PCR2015 legislation. You will strive to achieve value for money in everything you do, whilst liaising with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels and delivering a professional service. You may also be required to provide adhoc training seminars to the wider organisation in order to promote the procurement function and demonstrate the benefits of what you do In this role, you will also update and maintain the contracts register so that data is stored correctly, and you will also issue purchase order numbers on behalf of the organisation. What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered for this role, you MUST HAVE prior OJEU experience, preferably gained in a public sector environment. You will be a confident negotiator and comfortable working with senior stakeholders, both internal and external to an organisation. You will also have experience of managing a full tender process. Preferably, you will be MCIPS qualified or at least working towards this qualification.
