Overview
Leading retail business based in the Leeds area requires a CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified Accountant to join their expanding accounts function in a newly created role. You will be responsible for assisting the production of the weekly and monthly accounts as well as assisting with budget management and cash flow reporting. You will be an integral part of the finance function and a key point of contact for a number of internal stakeholders building relationships across the business. While working within this fast paced finance function your duties will include: Assisting with the preparation, review and analysis of accurate and timely management accounts including commentary Balance sheet reconciliations Posting journals Processing VAT Returns Supporting yearend audit Supporting the continual review and improvement of procedures and key controls Assisting with ad hoc projects Candidate Requirements: Be studying towards a full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Have excellent communication skills Analytical skills and high attention to detail Excel skills with the ability to use pivot tables and vlookups Ideally you will be able to demonstrate previous experience within a management accountant/financial accountant role. Consideration will also be given to anyone from a practice background looking to make their first move into industry.
