Overview
Degree qualified design engineer required for an Application / Design Engineer role within the Oil & Gas / Energy sector. Excellent career opportunity for a mechanical design engineer looking to develop their engineering career with a global manufacturing business working specifically within the oil & gas / energy industry in Nottingham. Application / Design Engineer overview: Complete design reviews and new designs for product solutions in varying materials including thermoplastic. Provide customer facing technical support for quality issues, product changes and problem solving. Manage and conduct product failure analysis when required. Support company sales team and customers through in-person meetings and on-going support. Assist the Commercial team by providing information on feasibility studies of opportunities and engage in customer conversations. Complete Continuous Improvement activities where needed. Application / Design Engineer skills and experience required: Degree qualified essential, ideally Mechanical Engineering (or related subjects, i.e Aerospace) Proven working history in a mechanical design engineering environment. Experience of designing either seals, hydraulics or pneumatics is an ideal background Analytical and logical approach. Excellent interactive skills required to understand and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
