What you'll be doing In this role, you will work as part of the team based in the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC) at BUPA Cromwell Hospital. To perform conventional and complex Lung Function Tests in a range of clinical settings. You'll play an important role in a rapidly growing Lung Function Centre and it may be expected to contribute to the activity of other Physiology Departments (Sleep, Cardiology or Neurophysiology). You'll work with each respiratory consultant and their secretarial teams to coordinate the administrative tasks within outpatient clinics. You'll also ensure effective communication to patients and colleagues and ensure attendance and completion of all mandatory study days. What's a typical day? A typical day will be to coordinate clinics independently when required, ensuring patients are attended to and escorted to the consultants outpatient consulting room. You'll work towards having a sound working knowledge of all relevant clinical tests carried out in the department, working accurately and maintaining at all times high standards of quality and you'll ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with local and departmental guidelines. You will also need to ensure that reports are generated for exams performed in accordance with departmental protocols and according to reporting turn around time. You will act as a role model and knowledge source for peers and fellow colleagues by providing access to advice and support which supports staff and benefits the care of patients Who we're looking for?
