Overview
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding retailer in a key category area. You will have complete autonomy to develop your own category in line with wider company strategy. Applicants should have the following skills and attributes: · Highly developed negotiation skills · Buying experience for a Top 10 UK retailer, managing a category with a significant turnover e.g. £50m · Excellent supplier management skills with exposure to complex relationships · Strong commercial acumen – accountability for achieving and excelling company targets · Strategic ability – responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc · Highly self-motivated individual · Excellent academic background, including degree / MSc / MBA etc In return you can expect a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and a great working environment.
