Then perhaps what my client is covering is the place for you The role; Emergency Dispatch assistants work as part of a 2-person dispatch team using the Computer Aided Dispatch system to send Emergency resources including Ambulances to patients in need. This means you could be allocating anything from a community response car to a non-emergency patient in need as well as sending multiple emergency ambulances and response vehicles to an RTC (road traffic collision) or another emergency. Are you highly motivated? Are you passionate about high quality patient care? Are you able to multi task and remain calm under pressure? Can you work on your own initiative and also part of a team? Do you have good attention to detail with excellent communication skills? Do you have response unit dispatch, call centre, or customer service experience? (Helpful, but not essential) This may be for you The small print - You will be required to work rota 12 hour shifts that cover days, nights and weekends over 24 hours 7 days a week. This is including bank holidays as these are included within the rotas. Rota's work in a rotation pattern of 4 shifts on then 4 shifts off. You will be required to use a number of different computer, radio and telephony systems to control ambulances and other response vehicles. Full training on all systems used will be provided and updated on a regular basis. You will need to be over 18 to apply as you will be required to work rotational shifts including night shifts. We operate a Team structure, and an additional relief (short notice) based system If you demonstrate that you have the qualities and experience that we are looking for, then you will be invited to undergo an entrance assessment and an interview in our Bicester location, where all positions are based. All successful candidates who are offered a job with us will have to undertake clearance from the DBS (disclosure and baring service) and our Occupational Health department.
