Overview
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Global Category Buyer – Food for a firm within the hospitality industry – location is flexible as they have a number of offices in London upto the Luton area and there is flexibility to mostly work from home. You will be part of the Global Supply Management team who are responsible for negotiating and governing all commercial contracts globally, you will coordinate with suppliers and regions to ensure smooth delivery of brief and ensure open communication lines with stakeholders.This role is focussed on the strategic overview of the Global food category and the delivery of the procurement strategy. Experience with global/European procurement is vital for this role, and previous experience with food buying would be a huge advantage. You will be responsible for the global supplier relationships so must be a good communicator with strong commercial acumen. You must network with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the current relationships and communication base.
