Gas Seal Assembly pre shipment technician

Overview

We are looking to hire an excellent Gas Seal Assembly Technician to join our team in Slough to cover our day shifts (Monday to Friday). You will perform all activities associated with the preparation of gas seals for shipment to customers. All activities are carried out in accordance with the required company quality/productivity standards whilst ensuring company HSE procedures are complied with. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare seals and spares for shipment Wrap and pack seals and spares Strip & Inspect seals post test Complete all relevant documentation, SAP information, Visual Factory compliance Complete weekly 5S audits and actions & participate in CI activities within area Train technicians and apprentices when required Required Skills and Experience: We ideally require candidates to be apprenticeship trained with relevant qualifications (for example craft apprentice, BTEC Level 3, NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent) Seal assembly experience preferred, understands work instructions and technical drawings Good IT skills Basic understanding of CI tools Good communication skills (internal & external customers may witness build) About us: Smiths is always looking for curious minds.
