With tier 1 supply to Aerospace, Motorsport, Oil & Gas and machine tool industries, they have extremely high standards with work output. As part of their continuing expansion they have an opportunity to work within their prestigious engineering facility in Coventry. Working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists, you'll be given full autonomy over delivering finished articles from a customer drawing or specification. Benefits include a rate of pay up to £13 p/h depending on experience, , salary review after 3 months probation, overtime paid at Time & 1/3 for Weekday, Time & ½ Saturday, Company pension, and 28 days holiday inc. bank holidays, Working hours are 37.5hrs per week Monday to Thursday, with overtime available after core hours. Role and responsibilities Setting and operating a range of grinding machinery within the department Using Jones & Shipman Ultragrind, Cylindrical, and Studer Favorit external grinders Manual surface grinding and finishing when required First off of parts for approval, using quality measuring equipment Working from engineering drawings, and following job route cards Identify improvements and overall machining efficiency We would welcome applicants who have had previous experience as Universal or precision grinder Capable of manufacturing highly detailed components. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Able to work with minimum supervision. Ability to positively interact with design and build departments to overcome engineering challenges.
