POSTIONS: Metrology Engineer, Industrial Survey Engineer, Spatial Analyser SALARY: £28,000 - £36,200 basic plus lots of overtime available, overnight allowance, travel allowance, 24 days holidays plus bank holidays, expenses, company vehicle, phone, laptop LOCATION: UK based with worldwide travel To be suitable for this role you must have at least 1 years' experience using spatial analyser or comparable software, full UK driving licence, able to stay away and travel extensively across the UK, Europe and Worldwide. The business was set up just after the second world war and has steadily expanded its machining and heavy engineering services dealing with a very wide range of industries including steel manufacturing, aerospace, power generation, automotive, deep sea maritime, ship building and many more. Your role will be working on a specialist new technology division completing surveys down to 0.05mm accuracy on large machinery, machinery spaces, moving parts, engine rooms, manufacturing sites, building interiors with some interesting special projects mapping heritage buildings down to sub millimetre scale. Revealing unprecedented detail. You will be overseeing, reporting and quality checking some massive metrology and industrial surveying projects. You will be expected to look out for opportunities to promote other services completed by the company including on site machining, specialist welding, metal spraying, stitching, machine overhauls, casting repairs. The role will involve extensive travel across the UK and worldwide with some projects taking up to 3 weeks at a time, however, you will be working from home in charge of your own diary with as much time in Head Office as you require. The post will come with full and ongoing training, however, you must have experience of using spatial analyser surveying software, able to use CAD to a reasonable proficiency, mechanical engineering background, have the ability to deal with senior engineers on big projects, have the ability to travel extensively, preferably with experience of completing Industrial Surveys, Spatial Surveys and Metrology Surveys.
