The primary role of the Graduate Maintenance Engineer will be to support engineering, maintenance and process engineering teams in the development and delivery of maintenance and optimisation projects across the Recycling Operations business. You will provide technical/engineering support and expertise to the site teams throughout the maintenance improvement, optimisation and asset replacement projects leading to increased safety, plant performance, quality and capacity across the MRF, glass, plastics and polymers recycling assets. As our Graduate Maintenance Engineer, you'll have secured a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Process or Mechanical) and completed process engineering and/or maintenance exercises or the practical application of these. You'll have sound understanding of Health and Safety legislation and process and maintenance improvement with a keen interest in new technologies, at all times championing an approach that facilitates continuous improvement. Previous experience in process engineering or within the recycling and waste management industry would be advantageous. It is important that the successful Graduate Maintenance Engineer joining us in this role demonstrates some commercial awareness, is able to think logically and identify root causes whilst providing solutions. You'll have strong analytical and communication skills, able to balance and deliver against conflicting priorities and deadlines and be self-motivated. As this role will require working alongside multiple stakeholders, teams and management both internal and external, strong relationship building skills are essential and high levels of resilience, drive and tenacity will be key. The Graduate Maintenance Engineer will be based in either Sheffield or Skelmersdale, in the North West of England. The role will also require UK travel – therefore a full driving license is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing business and be a part of how we're shaping the future.
