The Opportunity Working with the Head of Operations & Risk, the Operations Manager supports in the optimisation of operational efficiency across the business, ensures practices and operations remain within risk appetite and supports on business-wide transformation. Working across 6 Heads of Practice and circa 250 colleagues you will be leading the optimisation team to deliver against 12,500 cases a year. The Operations Manager is responsible for contributing to devising and driving all operations-related activity and business projects within the Consumer Legal Services (CLS) business. The role supports the Head of Operations and Risk in the strategic development, implementation and management of case management processes and technical solutions across CLS - from conversion through to billing - with a focus on driving continuous improvement, reduce costs and improve overall consistency and effectiveness of the legal services offered. Responsibilities: • Maximise service and end to end process efficiency ensuring financial targets are being met • Supports the strategic development of the CLS offering to improve the services and customer outcomes through process and technical driven initiatives • Support and contributes to identify key improvements in the BUs to ensure that work is carried out consistently in a disciplined, repeatable, scalable and timely manner • Supports on the delivery of the next wave of CLS transformation • Maintain strong relationships with Head of Operations & Risk, Heads of Practice and other business areas to ensure alignment of purpose and sharing of best practice • Innovative in delivering on continuous improvement within CLS to continue to meet and exceed customer expectations of the service offering • Supports in the framework build of the correct platform for colleagues within CLS to innovate and propose new ways of working to improve customer outcomes • Monitor and manage risk levels within responsible area to ensure that the business is not susceptible to excess risk • Manage a robust method of knowledge sharing throughout responsible area to ensure that best practice can be used to build and maintain consistency and standardisation across practice areas • Supports the Cross Referral and awareness of the CLS services within the wider business to generate further customers and cases to the business About You: • Proven track record in delivering business change • Systems experience - Microsoft dynamics CRM knowledge would be an advantage • Experience in managing projects from start to finish in a fast paced business environment • In-depth knowledge of Legal services or knowledge from a similar professional environment • Ability to balance the needs and requirements of multiple projects and disciplines at the same time within tight timeframes • Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders across the business and externally • Influencing skills in order to push and normalise changing way ways of working • Ability to quickly understand complex systems and develop ways of improving digital platforms • Experience dealing with risk management What we offer in return: In return we offer a competitive salary with market leading benefits, a positive and inviting work environment, exposure to industry specialists and the fantastic opportunity to develop a rewarding and successful career with an award winning law firm.
