Overview

Support the Head of Risk & Governance in implementing and maintaining the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Support the Head of Risk & Governance in implementing and maintaining the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework by assisting with framework development, implementation, roll out and ongoing maintenance and development. Produce reports on key risks and controls, risk events and risk appetite monitoring and assist with ongoing MI development. Risk Management Own administration of the risk event process and oversee the management of risk events to resolution by the business, supporting root cause analysis and monitoring action plans to completion Act as the administrator of any tool used to record and track risk events Assist with the maintenance of risk registers across all business areas and assist the business in identifying and assessing risks helping them to design strategies to mitigate these risks Assist the Head of Risk & Governance in co-ordinating the Governance Self-Certification and Control Risk Self-Assessment exercises within the business, analysing and reporting on the outputs Review and validate that risk management processes are being adhered to by the business and escalating any non-adherence as appropriate Work with the business to educate them about risk identification, management and control Update policies, processes and training material to support implementation and embedding of the risk management framework Working with colleagues on risk and compliance reviews, deep dives, investigations etc Reporting & Governance Assist the Head of Risk & Governance in the preparation of regular risk reports, eg quarterly CRO pack Undertake analysis of risk events and prepare regular reports for senior management and governance forums Collate key risk indicator data to support reporting and monitoring of performance against risk appetite framework Undertake analysis of risk registers across the business and produce reports to support the review and challenge of material risks by the CRO Act as secretary to governance forums as directed, including taking minutes and tracking actions Financial Crime and Data Privacy Oversee the Financial Crime inbox, assisting with business queries and escalating to the MLRO where required Review escalated electronic screening alerts and advise on any additional due diligence to be undertaken by the business area Assist with transaction monitoring exercises Review potential data protection breaches as and when required Assist with the collation of data for subject access requests Personal Development Take responsibility for own learning and development, keeping up-to-date with all policy, procedural and regulatory developments and maintaining CPD with any relevant professional bodies Good understanding of the three lines of defence model and risk management frameworks and tools Understanding of process, risk and control management and how it can be applied to deliver outcomes for clients, the business and regulators Experience working in UK financial services risk management High level of integrity and professional standards and ethics Ability to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently Proven written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyse data, problem solve and make decisions confidently Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business and client focused when dealing with a range of people Very good MS Office skills, in particular Excel, Word and Powerpoint Ability to work with a wide range of people Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
