A market leading Semiconductor company with many well renown customers in the consumer and mobile communication markets is offering a Junior RF/Analog IC Layout Engineer the unique opportunity to join their UK based RF IC Design team. As RF/Analog IC Layout Engineer you will have to opportunity to grow and develop your skills long term and become an integral part of the RF/Analog IC Layout team where you will be involved with the transistor level layout of IC’s used in transceivers and related IP for mobile communication applications. This is a challenging and rewarding position in which you will work very closely with the RF IC Designers. Your task will include the following: Layout of Analog/RF and Mixed Signal IC’s in Cadence Virtuoso from transistor to system-level in process nodes below 28nm. Verification (DRC, LVS, ERC, ESD) and parameter extraction using Calibre, Assura and QRC Floor-planning and planning of supplies and critical nets Estimating layout size and resource requirements (scheduling) Liaising with designers to ensure high quality layout within time and area requirements Assisting with Tape-Out and executing layout for the IC Designers at international sites either or on site abroad. To be selected for this position you have an industry standard degree in Microelectronics Engineering and at least some experience in RF or Analog IC Layout. You have a good understanding of Semiconductor processes, including deep sub-micron CMOS, good understanding of principles of RF/Analog IC Design and layout in a Cadence Virtuoso environment and are experienced with Calibre and/or Assura DRC, LVS and parameter extraction.
