Overview

The Finance Analyst will work closely with departmental Managers across the Refining Chemicals Europe business, providing support for any cost decisions, understanding of cost bases, budget setting and forecasting.The successful candidate will have regular interaction with project managers in the capital projects team to assist with financial analysis completion for capital projects as well as supporting the Financial Analysis Manager with working up the detailed yearly budget as well as the Capital Projects senior team with the completion of the annual capital expenditure budget, challenging where required. Key responsibilities Proactively build and maintain influential and collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders as a partner to the business focussed on effective decision support on investments, capital expenditure, costings, profitability and cost base Support the business with strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting with appropriate financial modelling, analysis and commentary Provide support to the business in terms of managing and reporting costs to ensure that costs are managed in line with the delivery of key business objectives Work closely with the business to develop improved product costings across Refining and Chemicals which will enable product profitability reporting Support the business and capital projects team with completion of financial analysis for all capital investments Assist and challenge capital project managers with monthly cost forecasting for their projects which forms the final forecast and the generation of the capital expenditure budget Implement a process and conduct post implementation reviews for capital projects in line with group policy Work closely with departmental managers across R&CE.
