Job Title: Education, Health & Care Plan Coordinator Job ID: 88420 Location: Northamptonshire Job Type: Permanent Salary: £18k Industry: Education One of the UK’s leading specialist Colleges providing education and training based in Northamptonshire are currently recruiting for an Education, Health & Care Plan Coordinator to join their Learning Support Team. A key function of this post will be to work with the Head of School in the review of Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP’s) for students throughout the year and liaising with relevant local authorities. You will meet with key stakeholders; write reports, meet with and assess individual students; gather supporting evidence and update and maintain records associated with the EHCP and associated claims. You will also deliver sessions to students. You will also deliver key sessions on a group or 1:1 basis to students requiring additional support Applicants will ideally have experience of working in a similar role and be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders while supporting a range of additional student needs. You will possess excellent organisational skills with strong communication skills and be committed to making a real difference to the lives of our students and ensure their success. Responsibilities: Set up EHCP meetings and chair. Provide the administration support for exam access arrangements Support the work of Learning Support funding and LSA timetabling. To handle telephone and general staff enquiries professionally and promptly. To handle cash securely and accurately in accordance with College procedures. To liaise with staff, clients and students in the maintenance of records. To collect and process information to ensure that records are accurately maintained in a timely manner. To enter and maintain accurate data on the College’s Student Records System in accordance with College procedures. To understand and comply with College policies and procedures. To check, prepare and record information accurately and efficiently as required by the College. To carry out administrative procedures effectively and efficiently, including the preparation of reports required by management and external and internal returns. To undertake filing and maintain the filing system To attend day and evening meetings, courses etc. Considered to be a benefit to the College and the individual. Promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable groups in all aspects of College life and to ensure safeguarding arrangements are adhered to at all times Essential Skills & Experience Experience in tracking core processes and reporting on progress. Experience of working with confidential information Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and information Experience of dealing with customers, parents and carers Through working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to read, analyse and interpret information Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from employees and customers Ability to operate standard software packages Outstanding organisational and administrative skills Able to maintain total confidentiality Outstanding interpersonal communication skills Committed to providing an outstanding customer service Desirable: Educated to degree level or equivalent Experience of monitoring budgets Experience of working in Education or similar environment.
