The Maintenance Technician Role: We are currently seeking a flexible individual to join our team based in Wellingborough to work on a Lower-Tier COMAH Site Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing plant wide maintenance, to the highest possible standards whilst maintaining the company CMMS system as part of a site maintenance team, as well as working closely with a larger operations team. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Site wide maintenance and repairs; Maintaining Planned Preventative Maintenance system (CMMS); Departmental support, with Operations and EHS&Q; Daily liaison with Maintenance Supervisor and Operational teams Provision of effective and efficient response to equipment breakdowns; Testing and inspection of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC); Provide support with third party contractors We Are Looking For: Flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to work using your own initiative; A maintenance technician, with recognized engineering qualification/apprenticeship; Previous experience of fault finding and a strong appreciation of Health & Safety Previous experience on a COMAH site would be beneficial A reasonable degree of computer literacy is beneficial. Previous chemical industry experience is essential. Previous industry experience as a Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer / Shift Maintenance Engineer is essential. The ideal candidate will be prepared to work in a busy industrial and often challenging environment, ideally with knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems as well as fault finding.
