Overview

Estate Manager / Development Manager – Birmingham – Build to Rent site - £40k basic Bonus My client is a large international property consultancy focused on prime residential real estate. They have been instructed to oversee a newly developed and released Build to Rent (B2R) site in Birmingham and as such, require an Estate Manager / Development Manager to act as Head of Operations. The suitable Estate Manager / Development Manager will have 3-5 years estate management / block management experience and ideally, but not essentially, B2R site exposure. Based on site, the successful Estate Manager / Development Manager will have responsibility for estate staff oversight, resident engagement, budgeting, contractor management and reporting back to the portfolio manager at head office. Given the sites Build to Rent offering, the Estate Manager / Development Manager will ensure maximum occupancy through the motivation of the lettings team, oversee marketing drives, ensure presentation is kept to the expected standard whilst repairs are undertaken quickly and safely. They will also drive asset performance through identifying income streams and reviewing rents based on market rates. The Estate Manager / Development Manager will come from a stable block or estate management background and enjoy the hands on nature of being resident facing dealing with issues first hand on a daily basis. Although the site is Build to Rent, previous rental knowledge is NOT required as all aspects of letting and tenancy are dealt with by the on-site team. The successful Estate Manager / Development Manager can expect a starting basic salary up to £40k plus performance bonus alongside a corporate benefits package and ongoing investment in training/professional development. Hours of work for the Estate Manager / Development Manager are Mon-Fri 9-6pm with an hour for lunch.
