Overview
Software Engineer | Redhill | Up to £50,000 A fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a development team using modern technology, in an environment that will offer training and progression. A tech firm within the energy sector, my client currently works on a Java stack, but they have ambitions to keep on top of modern technology and development trends. Therefore, there are currently in the process of introducing GoLang, as well as cloud technology as they progress. You'll work on designing and developing applications used globally for the advancement of energy and geography exploration. What they're ideally looking for is a skilled developer from a Java background, who is interested in being trained in GoLang and DevOps technology. It would also be useful to have some skills in C++ and Linux, to help in the support of other products. As a Software Engineer, you'll also have the opportunity to enjoy flexible working (including some remote working). Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain software applications Help to ensure the efficiency of software Participate in software design and process decisions. Be able to provide technical guidance to the team when required. Skills Java Linux SQL C++ Nice to see: GoLang, Docker, Kubernetes.
