Trainee Engineer, Blandford, £21'800pa You're mechanically minded with a desire to build on a career within machining and manufacturing. You have a general understanding of fabrication principles and would have ideally worked with hand tools or different materials such as wood or metal. Our Rubicon manufacturing client is renowned for recognising and rewarding hard workers and provide a supportive, friendly and motivating environment. They have a strong client base as a result of their world class products and as a Trainee Engineer you'll gain from an above market rate, maximising on your potential earnings; having involvement within manual and semi-automated equipment. You will also benefit from free on-site parking. Due to the business being based in central Blandford you'll either need to have your own transport or live locally. The core hours of work are Monday to Friday 6am until 2pm with a 30-minute lunch break, and overtime is offered at x1.333 and x2. You will benefit from an attractive salary of £21,800pa rising to £22,400pa after 12 weeks of employment. As a Trainee Engineer , duties you can be expected to carry out include: Using equipment and machinery (such as sanders, polishers, grinders, hand orbital tools, etc) Manual handling (moving items around) Checking the quality of items produced General housekeeping of the working area Any other duties as requested This job may involve standing for long periods of time and is more than likely to involve heavy lifting. It's also imperative that you follow all instructions whilst working around machinery and heavy equipment.
