Senior Quality Engineer - Plymouth - £36,000 benefits Role Type: Permanent Location: Plymouth A leading engineering support services organisation are looking to bring in an experienced senior quality assurance engineer to join their team for a prestigious infrastructure development project. This is a fantastic time to join a global leader who provide complex engineering services to high profile and mission critical clients. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE Quality lead for single projects within Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit Assure Quality Management Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and Life Time Quality Records are fit for purpose Support Project during the execution of work packages to assure the quality deliverables are achieved Represent Quality at Project meetings Manage QAE team as appropriate Conduct internal and external audits and support 3rd party audits when required Participate in and facilitate improvement initiatives Liaise with external bodies and customer representatives for the execution of their assessments Manage and verify corrective actions raised as a result of both first, second and third party audits Advise and work with projects on quality matters KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ISO 9001:2015 Knowledge on continuous improvement techniques Experience in auditing is essential KEY BEHAVIOURS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Essential Skills: Demonstrate a 'Can Do' attitude Willing to take on any reasonable quality related task Good communication skills Self-starter with good priority management skills EXPERIENCE Desirable: Experience of managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the Engineering sector, including supply chain functions. Knowledge of change management and improvement programmes. Knowledge of MOD quality systems and requirements. An understanding of nuclear site licence obligations and management arrangements. Construction background QUALIFICATIONS Desirable: A recognised professional qualification in quality management. Certified Lead Auditor. NVQ Level 4 or recognised professional status or significant experience in relevant engineering discipline with NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
