Overview
Production Engineer I am working with an automotive client based in Slough, on their search for a Production Engineer to join their growing team. The Production Engineer will be responsible for supporting all departments and aiding the design, development, processing, assembly, testing, inspection, storage and dispatch of the products. Day to Day Responsibilities Include: -Liaising with engineering with the evaluation of the manufacturing requirements for new designs and applications. -The machining (manual) of basic hose assembly tooling/fixtures and pressure test tooling, where practical. -Maintenance of hose assembly tooling such as swage dies, expanders and swage forks, plus pressure test adaptors, including the control of our stocks of new tooling. This will include the basic inspection of used equipment. (new or re-worked tooling, should go through our inspection department). -Look after the requirements of various hand tools needed by staff, keeping stock of consumables -Responsible for the maintenance or organizing external contractors for the maintenance of production equipment, including, pressure test rigs, swage presses, lazer marking, 3D printer, bend m/c, cutters, welders, packaging machines and other electrical power tools. -Help the production departments with associated equipment they need for manufacture, including benches, tool boxes, additional lighting or storage.
