Siamo group are working in partnership with a well-established and rapidly growing automotive organisation who are recruiting for an experienced Materials, Planning and Logistics Co-Ordinator. Within this role you will become a key player in the overall supply chain sector. The purpose of the role is to ensure that customer delivery satisfaction is maintained through product quality standards and processes. The responsibility of MP&L will cover the entire supply chain dealing with suppliers of raw material, internal machining, assembly & finishing processes through to the customer With customer satisfaction at the forefront of everything they do they are looking for someone who can drive continuous improvement, ensure the overall customer experience is at the forefront of every process. The benefits when joining our client: Above average starting salary of £30,000 per annum Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Exciting new role Fast growing company with many new machining contracts starting in 2020 & 2021 The role will include: Monitor processes , ensure targets are being hit, improving productivity and identifying key training areas Training and organising of operators within any cell if required Make reasonable suggestions towards continuous improvement Liaise with transport regarding deliveries Delivery Note management When applicable expedite components from suppliers or sub suppliers, ensuring best price and value Negotiating where applicable with suppliers Report on internal and external KPI's Ensuring all Company Policies, Procedures and Working Practices are adhered to at all times Stock movement control Review schedules & develop internal production schedules Undertake training as required in any area or to assist in the improvement of cell objectives Work in a safe manner in accordance with the Company H & S rules and regulations Ensure all 5S and House Keeping Procedures are adhered to Achieve cell targets and objectives as identified by Site Director or Manager Assist or take part where necessary in continuous improvement events as require The ideal candidate for this role will have the following exposure: Minimum 3 years of a similar role in the automotive industry is essential Positive disposition and strong communication skills Proven experience of ERP/MRP software ideally EFACS preferred Background in logistics and transport management Will have a flexible approach to work and happy to work shifts when necessary Have a high level of English and Maths skills Good problem solving skills Strong IT literacy
